Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Science

The Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) is especially designed and offered as a pre-degree course (NVQ level 3) with a pathway to a chosen British Bachelors Degree. The IFD will equip learners with the academic training, English language and study skills to start their undergraduate studies with knowledge and confidence.

UFP Science is designed to give a real insight into studying for science degrees in the UK or in Sri Lanka as well as to give you the best possible information and assistance that you will need for your time as a student in the UK.

What is Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Science?

The aim of the Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Science (UFP) programme is to enable and encourage candidates to step in to the science stream, and make them well suited to successfully perform in undergraduate and subsequent higher educational levels in relation to science and technology. This program, upon successful completion can be considered as an entry qualification for careers related to science and technology and is of the standard to be potentially considered for suitable member categories awarded by professional bodies.

Why choose Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP)?

1. Entry to Year 1

It develops a pathway for year 1 entry of Bachelors degree.

2. Alternative to A/L s

Students are looking for an alternative to Sri Lankan Advanced Levels due to delay in holding exams and releasing results. UFP can be your alternative.

3. Relevant Skills

Undergraduate Foundation Programme provides the relevant writing and study skills to students who need such training prior to a degree study in another country (UK).
